ACTING FOUNDATIONS - taught by Mr. Corbin Adriano
Description: (Ages 6 - 11) Acting Foundations is a high-energy course that introduces acting fundamentals through learning the importance of “play” on stage that covers:
Acting Essentials: Learning to use voice and body for storytelling, character creation, and emotional expression.
Improv: Develop quick thinking, active listening, and collaboration through spontaneous games.
Clown: Discover physical comedy, exaggerated movement, and comedic timing to connect with an audience through laughter.
The Acting Foundations class assists children to build their communication, self-expression, and empathy on and off the stage. At the end of the class session and on our final day, we will have a presentation for friends and family on some of our work and growth through the class.
No experience needed—just a big imagination!
When: Fridays, January 9th - February 6th, from 5:30-6:30 pm
Showcase: Friday, February 6th, at 5:30 (location TBD)
Tuition: $100 with a $25 registration fee

ACTING 1 - taught by Mr. Corbin Adriano
Description: (Ages 12 - 18) Acting 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to acting principles, fostering creativity, discipline, and confident self-expression. We will explore:
Core Acting Techniques: Develop essential skills in voice, movement, character development, and emotional recall. Students will learn how to analyze scripts, create believable roles, and effectively communicate on stage.
Introduction to Clown: Unleash your inner comedic genius! This unique module delves into the art of physical comedy, exaggerated expression, and understanding comedic timing. Students will learn to embrace vulnerability and connect with an audience through the universal language of laughter, enhancing their stage presence and spontaneity.
Introduction to the Meisner Technique: Develop and understanding of "living in the moment", embracing external & internal influences to the students performances, and "doing the thing". Students can grasp what brings a stage performance to life, and stepping away from performative stage acting.
This course emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and a supportive environment for artistic growth. At the end of the class session and on our final day, we will have a presentation for friends and family on some of our work and growth through the class.
Prior experience is helpful but not required. All we ask is for an open mind, a willingness to play, and a passion for storytelling!!
