ABOUT ON THE STAGE CHILDREN’S THEATRE

On the Stage Children’s Theatre Alliance is a non-profit children's theatre company in Sugar Hill, Georgia. It was founded on the dreams and visions of Renee Hanna. She feels beyond blessed to have created On the Stage Theatre Alliance and now form On The Stage Children’s Theatre, Inc. At OTSCT, children will be able to be part of an ensemble performance group that encourages artistic growth and where everyone is welcome.

At On The Stage Children’s Theatre, we believe all children need the opportunity to be creative. When provided with the necessary tools, children will be better equipped to navigate and meet life’s challenges with confidence, courage, and creativity. We stand by our tagline, “Where Everyone is Welcome”.

In January 2020, Renee Hanna opened On the Stage Theatre Alliance. On The Stage Theatre Alliance produced twelve shows in 2021, including James and the Giant Peach Jr, Matilda Jr, All Shook Up young@part, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. For each performance, OTSTA gave scholarships to cast members. By the end of 2021, it became clear that creating a non-profit was the direction our hearts led us to.

With the dream and mission to never turn a child away for financial reasons, Renee Hanna, with the help of her “Dream Team”, formed On The Stage Children’s Theatre, Inc., in May of 2022.

In addition, On The Stage Children’s Theatre partnered with the City of Sugar Hill and the Eagle Theatre to bring a high-quality children's theatre program to the City of Sugar Hill. We believe it is important to grow a community that supports the Arts and the children of the community. Our sincere hope is to bring this to the City of Sugar Hill.

On The Stage Children’s Theatre produces shows year-round, with performances at The Eagle Theatre and The Bowl at Sugar Hill. Along with productions, OTSCT offers acting classes, vocal lessons, musical theatre dance classes, A Play in 4 Weeks, and has the desire to grow.

Our Mission:

To encourage education and promote artistic growth by developing and maintaining an artistic theatre that provides opportunities for children to study and participate in diverse theatrical productions, programming, and classes
