Bethany Hanna - Co-Founder, Co-Executive Director, Teaching Artist, & Private Coach
Bethany Hanna is the Co-Founder of OTSCT, as well as a Co-Executive Director, teaching artist, and private coach. While these are her official titles, her role at OTSCT extends far beyond them. On any given day, she may be answering parent questions, buying snacks for her team, stage managing, choreographing a number, or handing out Band-Aids in rehearsal. Whatever is needed to support the students and the show, she’s there.
Bethany graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Brenau University in 2022 and was a proud member of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, though her artistic journey began long before that. She has been performing since the age of six and began teaching theatre when she was just 16. From an early age, Bethany knew that sharing her passion for the arts and mentoring young performers was part of her calling.
Bethany has had the privilege of working with young artists of all abilities. Growing up with a brother on the autism spectrum shaped her ability to form meaningful connections with neurodivergent students, helping them see the world in new ways while also learning to experience it through their eyes.
Outside of OTSCT, Bethany serves as the director of the primary school productions at Atlanta International School and is one of the current Drama Club Directors at Suwanee Elementary School.
When she’s not working, performing, or seeing shows, Bethany enjoys reading, exploring new coffee shops, spending time with friends, and pretending she knows how to play pickleball.
Bethany is grateful to work with every cast at OTSCT and is passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive, and joyful environment for all students.
In July 2025, Bethany had the insane privilege of playing the role of Lucy in OTSCT’s all-staff, fundraising performance of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
